We will be hydro seeding for maybe another 2 weeks if the temperatures do not drop too low. Expect little to no germination as the night time temperatures begin to plummet. Whatever seed does not germinate this season will likely pop in the Spring when soil temperatures warm again. We do not encourage establishing a new lawn this time of year but we do understand there are situations where an attempt to establish grass is necessary.
If your lawn was seeded this year it is especially important to keep the leaves off the lawn as best as possible. This will let the sunlight through and avoid leaching of acids from the leaves which could damage your new lawn. It is especially important to get all the leaves off your lawn before snow cover.
